EG Vigilo gives you everything in one place – a solution that simplifies administration, strengthens communication, and gives you more time for what matters.
Together with the communication solution between home and unit, the upbringing administrative system covers all administrative needs at the municipal management level, in schools, and in kindergartens.
“We know from experience that everyday life is hectic for employees and parents, and that it can be challenging to get a good overview. The solution we have developed makes everyday life simpler, smarter, and clearer. It gives more time to focus on what is important,” says Vertical Lead Øystein Viland, EG.
The largest upbringing administrative system in Norway
Today, EG Vigilo is widely used across Norway and serves among others
46,000 employees in 63 municipalities including the 10 largest – among them Oslo municipality.
More than 615,000 parents of children in kindergarten, school, SFO, and AKS
760 schools with over 40 percent of all students in Norway, corresponding to approx. 236,000 students
1,646 kindergartens with over 85,000 kindergarten children
“That is an impressive number, which carries responsibility,” says Øystein Viland.
EG Vigilo is an open and user-friendly system, developed in collaboration with kindergartens, schools, and SFO.
The platform is modular and supports the fundamental work processes such as:
Timetabling and planning
Absence registration
Admissions to school and kindergarten
Exams and assessments
Consent collection
Communication between management and employees and to the parents
EG Vigilo is a data-secure platform
Additionally, the solution via the sharing portal OnedHub is integrated with a number of professional systems and authorities so that data can be fetched and shared securely among relevant users.
“Both schools, SFO, and kindergartens are workplaces where there is a need for effective tools to manage administrative processes and to ensure good and ongoing communication with children’s parents, authorities, and partners. It is complex, but we have gathered everything on one platform where the tasks are made simple and clear,” says Øystein Viland.
In EG Vigilo, for example, absence can be reported by parents via a mobile app, through our portal, or registered directly by staff at the unit. With the help of overview images and reports, the management at the various units can easily monitor absences registered both for individual children/students and for larger groups.
“It is precisely the systematic registration of data that makes it possible to use data wisely and share data with relevant authorities and partners. Data is an invaluable resource that in many cases is not fully utilized. By analyzing the past, one can gain insight into what may happen in the future,” says Vertical Lead Øystein Viland, EG.
