Oslo Municipality has chosen Vigilo as the new provider of administration systems for its schools.
With Oslo Municipality, Vigilo delivers administration solutions to 42 percent of all students in Norway.
"Our customers are our closest partners, and the system has been developed in close dialogue with the municipalities based on needs and user involvement. We believe that the agreement with Oslo will strengthen this relationship and provide increased benefits for all our customers," says CEO Øystein Viland.
Unique position
Since 2016, Vigilo has provided solutions for schools and kindergartens across Norway and has steadily grown. 150,000 unique users log in daily. With Oslo on board, Vigilo delivers solutions to eight of the 10 largest municipalities in the country.
"Now that we are the largest, we also receive more feedback from people about our products. We are entering a new era where we can improve and develop what we have already created, not just chase after something new," says Viland. He elaborates:
"Vigilo is now in a new and unique position as the largest provider of educational administrative systems in Norway. Both new and existing customers should experience us as a good partner. We will have a high degree of customer involvement, be accessible, and assist both professionally and technically when needed."
42% of students
149 primary schools and around 65,000 students in Oslo Municipality will, after a transition period, start using the system in a year and a half, specifically the school year 2025/2026.
"The recognition from Oslo Municipality means a lot, and we look forward to the cooperation. With Vigilo, schools will get a user-friendly, modern, and efficient system for running schools and after-school programs," says Viland.
