Being our own customer: how EG runs its facilities on EG MainManager

When a software company chooses its own platform to run its own facilities, it is a quiet form of proof. That is what EG is now doing: after using EG Worksense to learn how its offices are really used, it has begun rolling out EG MainManager, its own facility and service management platform. The first step, a digital Helpdesk, is already live, bringing service requests, workplace data and energy insights into one place across offices in Scandinavia, Poland and India.

It started with EG Worksense

Two years ago, EG began with EG Worksense to understand how its offices were being used. Space utilisation, hybrid booking and workplace data replaced assumptions with facts. That first step did more than optimise a few square metres, as it showed what disciplined data could do for the way EG works, and it set the direction for a broader move.

One place for all facility operations

Today, EG is rolling out EG MainManager across its own locations, one module at a time. The first step is a digital Helpdesk that replaces ServiceNow for facility requests: India went live on 3 July 2026, with the remaining EG offices following closely behind. Employees raise a request in two steps with no login, receive automated email updates, and work orders go straight to the relevant service providers.

Across more than 40 locations and 3,000 employees, the Helpdesk gives FM teams a single view of requests, occupancy and energy data, so that every request is logged, routed and followed to completion. Lease agreements, service-contract management and deeper ERP integration follow in the next phases, building a structured FM system of record across locations, assets and contracts.

“Moving our own facility operations into EG MainManager has been a fast, smooth ride. We went from fragmented tools to one place where everything from bookings to service tickets lives together, and we could implement at real speed, because the system bends to the way we work rather than the other way around.”

Integrated with our own systems

Because EG MainManager is built on a single data model with open APIs, it connects with the systems EG already runs, EG Worksense for workplace and occupancy data and EG EnerKey for energy and ESG reporting. Integrations with finance and contract management are planned as the rollout continues, so that requests, workplace data, energy and, in time, contracts and costs sit in one flow rather than in separate tools. It is the same principle EG offers to its customers, now applied to EG's own portfolio. In fact, EG Worksense, EG MainManager and EG EnerKey together form EG PropCore, EG's connected ecosystem for real estate, making EG an EG PropCore user with three solutions already in place.

“We looked hard at what we needed from facility management, and EG MainManager already answered it. Choosing our own platform was not a matter of loyalty, it was simply the right tool for the job. The implementation moved fast, and we could shape the system around the way we actually work, across every market we operate in.”

Mads Christensen, Vice President, Group Procurement & Services, EG

Smarter facility management does not happen on paper. It happens when systems, people and data work together; and, at EG, now on our own platform.
