EG Transport 26H1 Release: Optimized User Experience, Faster Booking Registration, and More Automation
The 26H1 release introduces several improvements across EG Transport, with a focus on transport planning, booking registration, route visibility, status tracking, automation, and AI-assisted translation.
The release is designed to support faster execution, clearer workflows, and an better user experience in the transport planning process. Highlights include a simplified forwarding customer setup, faster booking registration with dropdowns, route map visibility in pre-calculation, clearer PDA status information, automatic transfer to FleetView, and AI-assisted translation of mail instructions.
A more focused experience for forwarding customer setup
The forwarding customer screen has been improved to make the setup process more focused and easier to work with.
Users will now see the fields, columns, and functions that are relevant to the selected customer or address type. This helps create a cleaner workflow and a more guided user experience.
Key improvements include:
• Improved and simplified user interface • Fields and columns shown only when relevant • Invoicing fields hidden for plain addresses without an account customer • Customs fields hidden automatically when no customs setup exists • Account customer functions shown only where relevant • Customer address map shown automatically, with no function key required
This gives users a more focused view of the information needed for the specific use case, while making the setup flow faster and easier to navigate.
Geocoding directly from the item index
The item index now supports geocoding and re-geocoding directly from the item card flow.
A new Geocode / Re-geocode button has been added, allowing selected item cards to be geocoded via PTV.
This supports more accurate address and location data and gives users a more direct workflow from the item index.
Faster booking registration with fewer steps
Booking registration has received a new design focused on speed, usability, and a more efficient registration flow.
Several F4 searches have been replaced by dropdowns, helping users complete booking registration with fewer steps. Extended fields can also be hidden and reopened when needed, with visibility controlled by parameters.
The update includes:
• Dropdowns replacing several F4 searches • Fewer pop-ups during booking registration • Parameter-controlled extended fields • Support for fields such as SAP field, visibility, notification, GrpAmeta/release, document, and F15/F16 • Revenue calculated and updated continuously when changes are made • Additional fields added to address pop-ups from the item line
Together, these changes support faster booking registration and a more streamlined user experience for teams working with transport planning and order handling.
Route map added to pre-calculation
Pre-calculation now includes a map showing the pre-calculated route.
This gives users a clearer visual overview before continuing with the booking or planning flow. The planned route can now be reviewed directly in the pre-calculation view, supporting better route understanding earlier in the process.
Clearer PDA status display
The PDA status field has been improved with letters added as a supplement to colors.
This makes the status easier to read, sort, and understand at a glance, especially in operational views where users need a quick overview of delivery progress.
The status letters are:
• S = Sent • R = Received in app • A = Arrived • D = Done/Departed • C = Cancelled • N = No pickup
This gives users a clearer overview of delivery status and supports easier follow-up during daily transport execution.
AI-assisted translation of mail instructions
The release introduces AI-assisted translation of mail instructions.
Mail instructions can now be translated automatically into multiple languages, with the language selected when printing.
This supports more efficient communication across languages and helps reduce manual translation work in transport-related communication.
Prerequisite: Requires an OpenAI license.
Automatic transfer to FleetView
FleetView integration has been improved with automatic transfer after auto pre-calculation per charteque. This gives users the same effect as manually selecting Accept & transfer, while monitoring settings use default values.
Requirements include:
• Trailer on charteque • Trailer marked for monitoring in master data • Own code set up in section 6181, Charteque own code
This supports a more automated flow from transport planning into visibility and monitoring.
PTV update for Brenner Pass rate calculation
The PTV calculation has been updated for Brenner Pass day/night rate handling.
Users now have the option to always calculate the day rate when crossing the Brenner Pass, regardless of the start time on the charteque.
This gives more control over rate calculation in this specific route scenario.
Coming soon: simple web-based POD scanning
A new web-based POD scanning solution is coming soon and is not part of the 26H1 release.
The solution is designed as a simple alternative for POD registration using a unique code per booking, available as a link or QR code.
The code can be shown on documents such as:
• CMR • Own waybill • Sales document • Driver instruction • Unloading and loading lists
When the link is opened or the QR code is scanned, a web page opens directly on the device. The flow is optimized for mobile devices and keeps the registration simple, with only a few required options.
The registration is integrated back into the TMS with logging and archiving, and the logo at the top can be changed to the customer’s own company logo.
