Copenhagen’s Property Unit centralizes property management with EG MainManager

Copenhagen Properties & Procurement (KEJD)

Copenhagen Unites the City’s Property Management on One Platform – With EG MainManager

Copenhagen Properties & Procurement (KEJD) is responsible for the city’s properties and provides technical services to 58,000 municipal employees – from City Hall to schools, cultural centres and sports facilities. To handle this major task, KEJD has set an ambitious goal: to gather all its Facility Management activities on one shared, future-proof platform.

From Analysis to Action

The solution was not decided overnight. Before the tender process, KEJD carried out a thorough evaluation of its existing systems and how they actually worked in practice. The result was a new IT vision: a unified FM portal designed to make everyday life easier for both service staff and end-users.

Here, EG MainManager plays a central role. The platform will support more efficient property operations, improved customer service, flexible solutions that can grow with future needs – and ensure that the municipality always complies with laws and regulations.

Why EG MainManager?

After careful evaluation, EG was chosen.

 – “We are very proud that EG MainManager will become part of KEJD’s overall vision and IT ecosystem,” says Charlotte Møller-Andersen, Senior Vice President, EG Construction & Property Management.

She adds:

 – “We look forward to a long-term collaboration where we can support the municipality’s strategy and ambitions within Facility Management – and make everyday life easier for the people working with the buildings day in and day out.”

From Copenhagen to Other Organisations

KEJD is one of Denmark’s largest property managers, but the challenges they face are familiar to many organisations: numerous properties, complex processes, and a need for greater overview.

This is where EG MainManager can bring the same value to other organisations – whether a municipality, a private property manager, or a public institution.

A few examples of benefits:

  • Service staff can register tasks directly via mobile – instead of paper or email.

  • Management gains a single overview of operations, maintenance, and energy use.

  • Data is collected across buildings and systems, providing a more accurate foundation for decision-making.

One of Denmark’s Largest Property Managers

KEJD is responsible for 2.6 million m² across around 3,500 buildings. About 500 employees – together with 250 external technicians and consultants – will soon use EG MainManager to plan, register and report tasks.

The Future on One Platform

With EG MainManager, KEJD gains a complete system that brings together everything from energy management and space utilisation to maintenance, helpdesk and finance – accessible via mobile, tablet and web.

The goal is clear: one platform, complete overview, and a simpler everyday life for both employees and the city’s residents.
