How EG MainManager made the start easy for Filadelfia’s new Technical Manager
When Lasse Petterson showed up for his first day as Technical Manager at Filadelfia in Dianalund, he felt the weight of responsibility. He wasn’t just leading a technical department – he was overseeing an entire small town: 40,000 square meters of hospital, patient hotel, school, combined heat and power plant, and cultural buildings.
– “My professional background is in electrical work and machining, mainly in the manufacturing industry. A lot was new to me when I started here. The fact that Filadelfia was already using EG MainManager made it easier to get an overview of the tasks and get off to a good start,” says Lasse Petterson.
A Whole Little Town
Filadelfia is like a town in itself. It includes listed historic buildings and state-of-the-art facilities, a combined heat and power plant with pellet and biogas boilers, and its own distribution network for district heating, electricity, and water.
The technical department handles everything from monitoring systems and fall detectors to emergency calls – systems that ensure daily safety for 800 employees, 6,000 outpatients, and 1,350 admitted patients.
– “I feel privileged every day I go to work. This is a fantastic and meaningful workplace, where the effort we put into the technical department has a direct impact on patient care,” says Petterson.
With his team of 12 craftsmen, he runs the operations of a small city – with EG MainManager at the center.
Everything Gathered in One System
All maintenance tasks, both urgent and planned, are recorded in EG MainManager.
– “If someone discovers a leaking water pipe or a lightbulb that needs replacing, they can easily register it in the system. It’s easy to understand, whether you’re a manager, a technician, or an employee reporting a maintenance issue,” he explains.
For the team, the system provides structure and overview. Every morning begins with reviewing new tasks in EG MainManager. The tasks are prioritized and assigned to the right craftsman or external supplier – so work can start immediately.
– “The advantage of having everything gathered in one place is that nothing is forgotten, and we can prioritize what is urgent. At the same time, it becomes easier to plan. For example, our painter asked that all her tasks be entered in the system, because it makes her workday more efficient. As a manager, it gives me a better overview and the ability to allocate resources,” says Petterson.
From Urgent Jobs to Regulatory Inspections
Filadelfia also uses EG MainManager to plan and document mandatory inspections, such as fire safety and electrical checks.
– “The system makes it easy to remember what needs to be done when, and to document the work afterwards. When the inspection authorities arrive, I can quickly retrieve documentation and show that we have carried out the required inspections,” he says.
User-Friendliness in Practice
Throughout his career, Petterson has worked with many different FM systems, but he highlights one thing that sets EG MainManager apart: user-friendliness.
– “If you need a Facility Management system, or are considering upgrading the one you have, you should definitely take a closer look at EG MainManager. It is the best and most user-friendly system I know,” says Petterson.
One Platform, Full Overview
With EG MainManager, Filadelfia has a complete solution that brings together energy management, space management, operations and maintenance, helpdesk, finance, and records – all accessible via mobile, tablet, and web.
The goal is clear: overview, security, and more efficient operation of an entire small town.
In my career, I have seen and worked with many different Facility Management systems, and EG MainManager is by far the most user-friendly system I know.
