Atria is one of the leading food industry companies in the Nordic countries. Zeroni is used to manage external workforce and related legal obligations. The service was implemented in spring 2020 at Atria’s Nurmo site, with Property Manager Juha Viita involved from the very beginning.
– We saw strong potential in Zeroni for improving the management of external workforce. We faced challenges with tax reporting, access and work permit management, as well as handling inductions. Zeroni addressed all of these needs.
More efficient permitting
Atria needed to modernise outdated processes and move towards digital solutions. Increasing regulatory requirements and more frequent inspections place greater responsibility on the main contractor to manage employee and permit data. With Zeroni, managing work-related permits is transparent and straightforward. In the event of an inspection, all information is available in one system.
– Previously, for example, hot work permits were stored on individual supervisors’ computers. Now everything is in one place and securely stored, Viita explains.
Zeroni also enabled the implementation of tailored solutions. A system for managing work permits during weekend maintenance shutdowns was developed specifically to meet Atria’s needs.
– Now the on-call supervisor always has access to an up-to-date list of workers on-site and their permits. During inspections, checking permits and safety inductions is effortless, and there is no longer any need for Excel files.
– Access control has also improved, as workers can register themselves on-site using a Valtti card. More efficient permitting means that security staff at the gate can spend their time on other tasks, Viita adds.
Zeroni’s extensive integrations also receive praise. Daily reporting has become easier as information flows smoothly between systems.
– Through Zeroni, data can easily be used for invoicing, and tax reporting is handled automatically, Viita summarises.
