New partnership between EG and Håndværker.dk gives SMEs an innovative payment solution

Small craft businesses now gain better payment security when carrying out work for private customers. The solution, which is integrated with our calculation program EG Sigma and the accounting solution EG Xena, helps craftsmen avoid financial risks.

Small independent craft businesses now have additional support available to help them manage tasks and payments. This follows a new partnership between Håndværker.dk and us.

It is a really valuable supplement for small craft businesses, especially for EG Xena users, who can simply upload their quotes to Håndværker.dk’s payment solution. It minimizes the risk of disputes and provides the certainty that the project will be carried out, delivered and paid for, says Asmus Ditlev Larsen, Country Manager, Construction Denmark at EG.

- Håndværker.dk is the first to offer this solution, which makes it easy for craftsmen and clients to secure themselves legally and financially — without having to create expensive contracts.

Providing small craft businesses with safety and security 

The new partnership gives private developers and small craft firms the financial security they need in construction projects.

A small fee is added to the contract sum, but in return, the parties avoid costly bank guarantees, legal assistance and general uncertainty in the project.

Simon Klug, CEO of Håndværker.dk, adds:

- With the new PaymentSecurity, craft businesses can be certain they will receive payment. The craftsman uploads a quote to the portal, the customer accepts and signs, and the communication between the craftsman and the customer runs automatically through the portal.

- This gives the craftsman 100% certainty of receiving their payment before starting the work, and it gives the customer the assurance that work and payment go hand in hand.

400 projects already tested

The new payment function on the Håndværker.dk portal has already been tested in 400 projects. Craft businesses, often with fewer than ten employees, can use the payment security feature for projects typically for private homeowners. The financial part of the payment solution is approved by the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority.
