About the service

DelMedMeg is an electronic, automated system for collecting patient-reported data used for assessment, treatment planning, evaluation and feedback, quality registers, and research. The service enables patients to actively participate in their own treatment, supports healthcare professionals' decision-making processes, and enhances treatment quality through patient-reported outcome measures (PROM).

All patients referred to outpatient mental health clinics receive information in the assignment letter, followed by an SMS with a link to a digital assessment via ID-porten (BankID). The assessment is completed before the first appointment and regularly every 12 weeks until the end of treatment.

DelMedMeg collects information about the patient's background, needs and goals, symptom burden, functional level, somatic health, substance use, and quality of life. This allows patients to participate in their own treatment through shared decision-making. The responses are saved directly in the patient record, and the clinician is notified when the information is available. Additionally, patients are given the opportunity to provide an anonymous evaluation of the treatment offered.

By using patient-reported outcome measures (PROM), the data is collected in an anonymized register that helps develop knowledge about what works in treatment. This strengthens the quality of services and provides decision-support opportunities for both patient and clinician.
