EG has entered into an agreement to acquire Cubit AS, a Norwegian software company with a solution used by fire services and electricity grid companies across Norway to plan, conduct and document safety inspections in accordance with national regulations.

Cubit helps improve safety standards and reduce risks in society. Digital checklists in the field minimise errors and ensure that work is documented correctly the first time. Cubit's digital platform supports fire services in ensuring systematic inspections with standardised reporting, thereby increasing the ability to prevent fires. For electricity grid companies, systematic inspection means that electrical installations meet safety standards and reduces the risk of accidents. By automating these critical processes, Cubit helps organisations comply with regulatory requirements while improving their operational efficiency.
Cubit was founded in 2017 and today serves some of Norway's largest electricity grid companies and municipalities. The software handles the entire inspection workflow – from planning and digital checklists in the field to automatic report generation and deviation management. Cubit is the market leader in both electricity grid safety inspections and fire prevention in Norway.

Cubit will become part of EG's Quality & Asset Management portfolio alongside EG Landax and Dynaway. With Cubit as part of the portfolio, EG can offer software covering the entire process – from quality management and maintenance to regulated inspections in the field. This strengthens EG's position within regulated inspection tasks and opens new opportunities to serve existing Nordic customers in the utility sector and municipalities with a comprehensive, industry-specific software portfolio.
